Pattie Toler, writing for Southern Boating in February, says the following:
"Under the new regulations, which refer to fish that may be aboard a vessel at any given time, the new bag limits are: 18 pelagic fish (dolphin, wahoo, kingfish, or tuna); 10 lobsters; 60 pounds or 20 demersal fish (grouper, snapper, etc.); and 6 conchs. The fish may be cleaned and filleted as long as the catch limits are followed. Inspectors will use their discretion in regards to what constitutes being 'just over the limit.' When leaving the Bahamas, any one person is allowed to take 6 pelagic fish, 6 lobsters, and 20 pounds of demersal fish."
