Talkin' Tourism

Gary Guertin, a past president of the Stuart Sailfish Club, has been very actively involved in recent years in an effort to increase tourism to the Treasure Coast. This is very much in line with the vision of the founders of the SSC in the 1930's, as one of the main early objectives of the Club was to bring tourists to Stuart during the great depression.

Gary is currently general manager at the Harborage Yacht Club and Marina.

About Stuart Sailfish Club

The STUART SAILFISH CLUB was formed more than 75 years ago and incorporated in January of 1941. It is one of the oldest sportfishing clubs in the United States, formed for the purpose of promoting the conservation of game fish and encouraging visitors to fish in Martin County waters. To this day, these remain our primary goals. We attract visitors by sponsoring offshore fishing tournaments and then donate a large part of the proceeds to worthy conservation programs and local conservation organizations.
